Of course, some are true and some are false. To clear up a few of the false stories, Walt Disney was never chryogenically frozen, he was cremated after his death, and Walt Disney wasn't at all a Nazi or supporter of Hitler. Are some of the stories about Walt Disney true or false ?
They're all true, including the one about him being frozen after death and kept at Cinderella's castle at Disneyland. Are some of the stories about Walt Disney true or false ?
I talked with disney's nephew personally and if he is any indication of the family line, I found him to be a nice person, genuinely honest. but even he can't get into disneyworld free.
Depends on what you have heard. There are a lot of stories. Most aren't true.
Yes. Some are true and some are false. If you are looking for a specific truth or falsehood, please re-post with more info.
I do not believe so there might be some that were based on a true story but they went off course to make the movie more enticing for the viewers.

If certain religious stories are connected with mythology does it mean it is false?
I dont feel the Orginial was false, but mind you Christians did take alot of the olden tales and changed them into there own.
This is documented in history..
As the religion spread thoughout the world it condemed the old religious practices as satan worship, even put people to death and built churchs on the old grounds were people use to meet.
in hopes they would still come and gather in the new building..
Some stories were taken and events over the year but names changed.
Christmas was called Yule. for example. If certain religious stories are connected with mythology does it mean it is false?
Not at all! All religions are based on a Mythology!
It is what makes them strong and lays out it's view!
Literalism if a very dangerous path for the faithful and always lessens and cheapens a religion. If certain religious stories are connected with mythology does it mean it is false?
it can mean many things
like as u sed untrue
but usualy its the bible defying the myth or non believers making a myth out of the bible
how many myths connect to adam n eve n memba every practasing catholic, christian etc will say so awell
Some researchers think that history of every country
begins with mythology. It often happens that myths of
one land get tangled up with those of other lands. A
myth is often compared to a snow ball which rolls down
a mountain side gathering foreign substances like snow,
earth, rocks and others such that its nucleus is lost
to sight. However, with some effort, some of the
historical events can be established from myths. Since
the time of Heinrich Schliemann's sensational
excavation in West Asia, archaeologists and historians
have been respecting myths, legends and traditions of
people no matter how improbable they may appear. Let us
consider the following myth:
2. The legend of Aeneas (Virgil,The Aeneid)
The Aeneid written by Virgil is the largest epic in
classical Latin mythology. It describes the legend of
Aeneas. Some parts of it were left without the final
touches (Fowler 1933; 410). Fragments of material on
Aeneas have come down to us through the works of other
classical Latin authors. The following is the selective
summary of the Aeneid:
Aeneas started from a country in Asia with his
followers in search of the land of his ancestors. Moved
on by destiny, he wandered round the seven seas for
many years carrying his home gods (1.31-32). Aeneas'
father appeared to him in a vision and warned that the
people of Latium are tough and primitive (5.722-734).
Afterwards he passed by the land of Circe, daughter of
the Sun. From her palace groaning roars of angry lions
resentful at their captivity were heard through the
small hours. The lions were said to be men once upon a
time and turned into beasts by Circe (7.10-20). At
last, Aeneas landed at Latium. A strange portend
occurred at the court of Latinus, king of the land. The
dress of his daughter, Lavinia, appeared to have been
set on fire. At an oracle, Latinus was advised not to
seek alliance from Latin race and the would be
son-in-law shall come from overseas (7.74-100). The
ambassadors of Aeneas went to the court of Latinus and
offered him regalia of their empire and many
embroidered vestments as gifts. Latinus recognized that
Aeneas was to become his son-in-law. He promised to
give his daughter in marriage to Aeneas annulling her
earlier betrothal with Turnus (7.243-273), king of a
neighbouring land, who was said to have captured many
cities in war (12.21-23). Turnus came to know about it
and ordered his army commanders to march against
Latinus and the new comers. (7.465-470) The first to
arm his men and enter the war was the irreligious
Mezentius, king of Agylla and friend of Turnus
(7.647-653). Some fighters on his side wore feline
skins. Aeneas travelled to a distant land for war
alliance with King Evander, his relative, who ruled on
Palatine Hill (8.90-100). Aeneas told him that Daunian
people were about to subjugate the whole of Hesperia,
and the seaboards of Tuscan and Adriatic (8.146-149).
Evander told him that Turnus was menacing them. Also,
their neighbours were oppressed by insolent tyranny,
damnable massacres and cruel force of Mezentius
(8.473-484). Goddess Venus presented to Aeneas divine
weapons made by God Vulcan (8.528-536). Two messengers
were sent from Latium in quest of Aeneas to bring him
back soon. (9.226-310) The men of Aeneas at Latium
closed up their ranks and stiffened resistance. Turnus
went in twice at the thick of the foe, but the whole
garrison came running to form up against him and he
fled from the battle field (9.788-818). Aeneas returned
to Latium. Turnus was made to flee from the battle
field (10.657-660). Mezentius dashingly took Turnus'
place, but was soon felled by Aeneas (10.689-786).
Before dying, Mezentius admitted that he was beset by
his own people's bitter hatred (10,904-905). Tiger skin
dressed princess Camilla (11.577), with a retinue of
female warriors, entered the field (11.653- 659).
Seeing her example, Italian women took to poles and
stakes to defend their city (11.890-895). Turnus
invited Aeneas for a duel to settle who would have
Lavinia (12.78-80). While the terms of the truce were
being accepted, war broke out again (12.282). Aeneas
was wounded by an arrow (12.318-326). His goddess
mother, Venus, brought health giving ambrosia and cured
his wound (12.411-424). Aeneas raced to the battle
field with his men. The men of Turnus took to their
heels and fled. Turnus was again made to flee from the
battle field (12.450-475). At last, the duel was fought
and Turnus was killed.
3. The Corresponding Indian Legend (P.Adinaaraayana
Swamy, Sree Padma Saakha Vamsa Pradeepika, Dharma
Varam, 1968):
The legend of Sage Bhaavana is preserved in the family
books of the weaving caste people among the Andhras in
India. Fragments of the legend were said to have been
extracted from Markandeya Purana, Brahmanda Purana and
Padma Samhita. The following is the selective summary
of the legend:
In a town near the hill where the sun sets, there was
demon named Kaaluva. He was menacing the Devas (divine
people). He was torturing the pious and raping their
women. He was assisted by Moolaka, another demon.
Further, the Devas were suffering due to lack of woven
clothing and a proper religion. When Devas prayed god,
they were told that a man will soon be born in his
image and he will come to their land to help them. Sage
Maarkandeya begot two sons and the younger one was
named Bhaavana. A prophecy was given that Bhaavana
would kill the enemies of his brother. Bhaavana became
proficient in the arts of war and also in the religious
knowledge. He vowed to offer a tiger skin to god. One
day, the Devas appeared to him (probably in a dream)
and told him that he was destined to reach the land of
Devas to get them rid of the demons and to teach them
weaving and religion. A sage told Bhaavana that he has
to go to a land where the daughter of Sun has kept
tigers in captivity, and that she would marry him.
Bhaavana wandered over seven seas and many lands in
search of tigers. Finally, he reached a land called
Arca and met the daughter of Sun named Bhadra. Her body
was bright like thunder bolt and her eyes resembled
petals of a blue lotus. Earlier, a sage told her mother
that a hero would come to their land and marry her
daughter. Bhadra recognized in Bhaavana the man who was
to become her husband. Bhaavana asked her to give him a
tiger. She told that she would give one of her tigers
if he would mary her. He told her that he has to
fulfill his vow first. He took the tiger and left.
After some time, Bhadra has sent two messengers to
Bhaavana that he should return to her without further
delay. Bhaavana goes to her land accompanied by his
people. The marriage of Bhaavana and Bhadra was
performed on a grand scale. Kaaluva was told that the
Devas were leading a happy life after being taught
weaving and religion by Bhaavana. The demon challenged
the bravery of Bhaavana and declared war. The warriors
of Kaaluva could not stand against Bhaavana and his
people, and started fleeing from the battle field.
Kaaluva tried to stop them threatening death to those
who flee. Bhaavana tried to kill Kaaluva four times in
duel fights, but he escaped death every time. A fierce
battle ensued and Bhaavana was wounded by Kaaluva.
Goddess Rama, foremother of Bhaavana, brought ambrosia
and cured his wound. Bhaavana travelled to a distant
land for war alliance with his brother. Many gods
presented divine weapons to Bhaavana. Bhadra entered
the battle field with a retinue of tigers. Bhaavana
hurled his divine weapon and killed Kaaluva. Hearing
the news, demon Moolaka came to the battle field and
soon fell at the hands of Bhaavana. Bhaavana became the
deified ancestor of weaving castes in the Andhras.

Why would the most powerful man in the world need to spend $1.6 billion on false or misleading press stories?
POWER AND CONTROLWhy would the most powerful man in the world need to spend $1.6 billion on false or misleading press stories?
Simple!! when you do things outside the law, then you have to hide the fact that you are doing them!.. Clearly the US has being using locations in other countries in an attempt to circumvent the fact that they are using torture (in the name of national security ) in the hope of obtaining information on the whereabouts of bin laden and other terrorist organizations..
The hated and despised Guantanamo bay is a prime example of this kind of facility!, though other places are far more secretive..
Its against the Geneva convention to gain information by using torture of any kind.. Since the US is a signatory of the convention !. then what its being doing with its prisoners is illegal and contravenes the convention.
In the past when US citizens have been taken prisoner and it has become known that torture has been used on them, then the US government has screamed blue murder about it and have condemned those who use torture as barbaric.. You can see that there is a two faced duplicity feel to all this, on one hand condemning and on the other doing!. All this just adds to the general mistrust and hatred by some of anything American! .Why would the most powerful man in the world need to spend $1.6 billion on false or misleading press stories?
he's trying to keep the public distracted and unaware of the things happening behind the curtains.
i havent spent that much and probably never will
I am also assuming that you are talking about Bush. Misinformation becomes fact if enough people believe it. As long as Bush continues to pump misinformation into the minds of the ';not so bright'; here in the U.S. they believe it is true, and will continue to blindly support him as he continues to further ruin our country.
Who are referring to? What stories are you talking about?
Any powerful, and obviously wealthy, person may feel the need to mis-lead any number of ppl for any number of reasons.
What is your point?
National Security.
I assume you are refering to the secret prison info that was just released.
There were prisoners being held that knew sensitive information and having their where-a-bouts known to the public could have endangered their lives and the ability to gain info from them regarding terrorism.
Your question is incomplete. Please be more specific.
And who might this most powerful man be?
To keep his position as the most powerful man in the world of course!
because he can
Self-preservation.
If you are referring to Bush as the most powerful man in the world, many today would disagree. But lets assume you do mean him.
The only way Bush has thus far avoided national censure and impeachment is because he has veiled his Presidency in secrecy. One day the truth will be revealed. On that day we all will be appalled at what we discover. if that day ever comes...
Our shortsightedness, dogmatic refusual to question authority, glassy-eyed zeal in supporting ';Republicanism'; over the best interests of the nation, and willingness to endanger long term strategic national success for the sake of short term political expediency, has placed us on a perilous path. Bush vows to stay the course. Read decline and fall of the Roman Empire, then get on your knees and pray that the citizens of the US have a few moments of clarity of remove this misguided, closed minded most powerful person from office.
I didn't know Rolph Harris was woth that much..but I still know his secrets..he..he..he

Are all CNN stories about China false? Or just most of them?
According to CNN, the high humidity and frequent fog in Shanghai is actually ';smog';. Apparently CNN failed to fact check the meteorological data for Shanghai and recognize its low pollution index.
CNN has a long history of misrepresenting life in China, so are all of their stories false or just most of them?
http://www.cnngo.com/shanghai/none/why-d鈥?/a>Are all CNN stories about China false? Or just most of them?
Like all media reports, there is a reason why the story was written, because it's worth writing about... but like most media reports, there is a certain degree of embellishment.
Also, if you were not in the US, you'll realize how CNN paints an almost MORBID picture of the rest of the world! There's usually a very biased, as one-sided as a story gets with CNN. If you check out the article link you posted, there's no good about China, only bad. There is rarely any good things written about China in MOST US media.
If all that were true, why are there so many Americans still flying over to China? Many have chosen to live in China over the US, many see China as the greener pasture anyway. This is because they chose to come see it for themselves or to look past all that biased media and take a risk.
Of course, there is no better or worse country and there is a bit of truth in whatever CNN decided to write about, but they're biased so when I listen or watch CNN, I make sure that I know, this is CNN's point of view, not the Americans (but shame on any of you for just falling for EVERYTHING they say), not the rest of the worlds'- JUST CNN.Are all CNN stories about China false? Or just most of them?
Are ALL stories about China false? NO!. CNN is one of the bigger news agencies in the world. They are watched and trusted world wide. They have no government sensors no government people in their offices explaining to them what slant to put on the news today. If you picked out the most trusted Chinese news broadcasting agency and put it up beside CNN for the world population to watch for 30 days and then ask the people what they thought, that is the reason Chinese news is not broadcast world wide. The government controls what is seen and said both in China. CNN broadcast the news, they may make it a little brighter or sharper to draw more people to watch it but it is factual and true. They have to do this to compete with the other world wide news organizations. If CNN did not broadcast the facts people in the other 200 nations would not watch it and then they would not be the news station they are, broadcasting to the world. CNN broadcast the news, as factual as they want it to be, it maybe slanted but it is factual because competition makes it factual.
Well, I'm Chinese, and I do watch CNN very often. As far as I can tell, most of their reports are not necessarily wrong, but problem is CNN tend to SENSATIONALIZE some problems or issues in China, which may mislead the audiences sometimes. Or in other words, most of their reports are very subjective. But, they did provide great coverage over Sichuan Earthquake back then, very objective and responsive, I was deeply touched by their reports back then.
dude shanghai in the summer is seriously like a discusting nasty cigarete scented sauna with an exhaust pipe of a car pointed right in it its just ******* nasty. but shanghai is extremely humid too considering its like 100+ in the summer and right next to the yangtze but its also extremely polluted too from all the construction and **** i think its alot better in the winter but that place is just a big hole if u ask me... cnn for the most part is right
you can try to google (or yahoo or bing) 'anti cnn'.
china news by cnn is standing for anti china writers. perhaps the fact is true , but the words is not right, or report bad news only while skip the development on some issues such as human right.
im chinese and perhaps i complain the gov sometimes but i can feel gov is try to be better, and had be better than before. but cnn, voa and some other us medias are always blaming china
Wake up China. America is a democracy. The government does not control our media. However, there are no checks and balances in China. The government must approve what it shows on television. As the American expression goes: People in glass houses should not throw stones.
Probably just a couple stories are not entirely correct.
well, as long as i'm in China i don't see things as true-false any more...
i view them through ';whose benefit'; glasses...
does CNN have a benefit of telling things about China right as they are?...
-- not really, coz that gives nothing to them...
does it make sense to hide something (or vice versa add something) while telling the news?...
-- sure it does, coz they can sell hidden info or set a trap on those who calculated one thing but finally got into another...
does it make sense for Chinese media to give the info of comme\rcial value right clear as it is?...
- well, read two statements above...
what i can say about Shanghai recently is that the guy who chose a place for a Disneyland was definitely hired by someone anti-Chinese...
the best act now will be ';oh sorry dear citizens, we shouldn't have neglected your interests and settle you off your beloved lands and ancestos tombs, we will chose a new place for Disneyland right away';...
otherwise they will have waves of resentment both from North (river matter) and the South (this park)...
bowing low will cost nothing yet it migh save much of the ad cost later, when the local people refuse to go to the attractions built on someone's tombs...
and i really hope there will be no outside sponsoring for guys with posters ';American cartoon beasts on my grandfather's grave';...
what is good for a river, isn't good for kids playground...
it's hard for me to get why they are initiating a human earthquake there...
the place isn't as big issue as people's beliefs and respect...
especially here...

I'd love to here your pregnancy stories! Are false Negatives Common and what did you do?
So here is my story. . . . I had my last period on Jan 22nd I did not get my period during the month of Feb. (don't forget its a lovers month wink wink) It is now March 16th...and still no Period. I took pregnancy tests and they came back negative one being very light negative. I took the first test March 1st ...neg...waited...felt cramping thought for sure my pd was coming, nothing but clear liquid then took it again on the 6th? neg...then went on with the week thinking my pd was going to ambush me...still nothing...took another test and it was a very light negative.... I have only missed my period once during my life and that was when I was 15 and had flown the France....So I don't know, maybe my cycle is changing? Has anyone gone through this and in the end, ended up with a bun in the oven?? I figured, I'd wait until March 23rd (when I am guessing I'd be due) and if nothing by then I will go to the doc.I'd love to here your pregnancy stories! Are false Negatives Common and what did you do?
no never, i got a pos straight away, i hope you find out soon. good luckI'd love to here your pregnancy stories! Are false Negatives Common and what did you do?
I am so glad you asked this question. My last period was on Jan. 21st and i'm going through the same thing. No period yet negative pregnancy tests. I really have no idea whats going on. But it's good to know that someone else is experiencing the same thing
Well I will tell u my child who is now 12yrs old. I actually hadn't been TTC with him cause i was 19 but anyways i suddenly felt not normal feeling so i had missed my peroid but at 19 my peroids were irregular all the time. but i decided to take a HPT and it was negative and I just didnt feel good and a friend of mine kept telling me she thinks i was pregnant. so anyways i went to the clinic 3 days after the HPT and got my results and they were positive. so yes i think false negatives are common. I am TTC #2 alot harder then i thought it was going to be.....lol Good luck
I had false negatives up until i was 2 months pregnant so its possible but you should go talk to your doctor and let him or her know whats going on just incase you are... if you are then you wanna know asap that way you can start seeing a doctor... i found out when i was 2 months along that i was and wasnt able to get to a doctor til i was like 5 or 6months... i ended up having an emergency c section 2 months before my due date because of preeclampsia and toximia me and the baby almost died. so my advice dont wait and keep taking tests get to a doctor and figure it out before something happens and you dont know!

Any good scary stories, true or false?
I love reading about creppy stories. have any that would really creep anyone out??Any good scary stories, true or false?
hey, this freaked me out....
There was a little girl who got scared on a night, she used to wake up due to nightmares! so her parents said they would buy her a puppy to sleep on the end of her bed, so if she woke up, she could put her hand out and the dog would lick her hand. So, they bought the puppy, and trained it to do what they wanted it to do for them. After that, if the little girl woke up with a nightmare, she would put out her hand and the dog would lick it. A few weeks later, she woke up and she put out her hand as normal, and the dog licked it. As she layed back down, she could hear a dripping noise. She got up, and checked the taps, but she couldn't see any taps dripping, so she went back to bed. The next night, she heard the dripping again. after the dog had licked her hand, she got up again. this time, she thought it might be the shower. She pulled back the curtain and her puppy was strung up, with a knife in it, dripping blood. she looked up, and written in blood were the words, 'humans can lick too....
omg it soo freaked me out!!Any good scary stories, true or false?
Here's a short one: A guy is walking home at night and has the feeling that somebody is watching him. As he enters the apartment, he still has the feeling. He takes the shower and hears a noise. He gets out, and everything appears normal. He goes to bed and has some nightmares throughout the night, but decides to sit in the dark rather than turn the light on. He goes to bed again and wakes up to his alarm clock. When he wakes up, he reads his ceiling which has a question written in blood. It reads,';Aren't you glad you didn't turn the light on?';skin cream

False negative HPT stories?
Has anyone gotten a false negative home pregnancy test, but later found out that they were pregnant?
I am curious because there is a chance that I am pregnant (my period is about 4 weeks late!) I have taken some HPT, but all have come back negative.. I am going to the doctor if it doesn't come this month.False negative HPT stories?
I just found out today that i'm pregnant. I am 7 days late and have had 3 negative hpts. Got my positive this morning! You should definitely see a doctor though if you're that late. Good luck!False negative HPT stories?
I had a false negative with this pregnancy. I took a test the day my period was due and it was negative. Three days later it was positive.
If you think your pregnant go to the doctors ASAP because this has happened to me just recently. I bought a value pack of pregnancy test and 2 came back negative and so i went to the doctors and their test came back positive im 6 weeks pregnant! Home test aren't as accurate because A. you can be testing to early so it doesn't read the HCG levels B. you may not be using it incorrectly for example not enough urine or whatever the case may be. Good luck best wishes to you.
yes my first pregnancy did.
go and demand a blood test :) or like i did i went and payed for a private ultrasound.. they are only 100 pound and well worth it just to even prove that you no your own body and then you can have your pregnancy confirmed and have help all the way :) x
