Expository writing is telling a story using real or fictional characters? true or false?

Real people. It generally involves exposing hypocracies and shocking truths. Something like investigative journalism.Expository writing is telling a story using real or fictional characters? true or false?
false. sort of.

By the ';sort of,'; I mean that expository writing can involve real characters, but its focus is not always to tell a story, and it's never fictional.

Expository writing is meant to inform the reader. Writing in an expository manner is to tell the reader what happened when a certain event occurred, to write a report on a certain event or person, to explain how to do something, etc.

It is, in essence, exposing the audience to a concept.

Informative (and argumentative) essays, book reports, biographies, etc. are all forms of expository writing.
