I would say false. A computer could be fed the elements of great stories %26amp; perhaps combine them but it would be a rehash of those stories. This is only my opinion but I feel that without the imagination process a truly new %26amp; great story cannot be created.
+/-. I've heard that some programmers had made a computer with a lot of classical stories, which can invent another one story based on real. So, it's not the greatest story, but smth new. That's why +/-.
Writing stories has not only to do with intellect and talent, but also personal life experiences, so no matter how smart a computer is, it can't make up for what we value in humanity, such as love.
False: A computer is programed and fed with facts and the basics. A writer is filled with an imagination and creativity. Their is no limit.
People have imagination, computers do not. However a person might use a computer to word process the story.
The day that computers can 'think' and 'reason' we're in deep doo-doo...and that day probably isn't too far away... It's a good thing I'm really old and probably won't live to see it...lol...
