Atheists, why are so many people totally blinded by false religions and stories?

When will the world realize what we already know. We love and respect others while seeking knowledge, yet so many people are caught up with hypocritical ideas and traditions that make no sense. When will we remove the burden from them?Atheists, why are so many people totally blinded by false religions and stories?
People are afraid to let go of cherished beliefs, even when they can't admit that the beliefs are sometimes based on unhealthy fears...I pray for the time that Christians are lead by commitments to justice and compassion, but until then, the fear-mongers still have a foot hold....Atheists, why are so many people totally blinded by false religions and stories?
Most have been indoctrinated (read ';brainwashed';) since birth. The reasons they won't change is because they don't want to admit that their lives' beliefs were all wrong and they've wasted that much time, or because their logic and reasoning skills were destroyed by years of having to accept the illogical and unreasonable religions tenets and beliefs.





Others simply fear the unknown when we know that there is really nothing to fear.
I advise you to double check that there isn't actually a God. Do you really think that it's more likely that all this life just happened by accident, or that it's possible that an intelligent being created it.





Have a Bible study with the Jehovah's Witnesses, and I'm sure that you will be pleasantly surprised.

If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
It's simply because religion breeds ignorance and blinds them from any truth which chalenges, exposes or contradicts their belief.
survival instinct + imagination = belief in an after life


insecurity + desire to dodge blame = belief in satan


joy + confusion = belief in god
we need to subsidize their education





we need to help them get closer to reality
Once people stop being greedy and start actually putting money towards education.
They can't handle the fact that when they die they are gone forever so they make up an afterlife.
I'm in it for the mead.
oh yeah once people stop putting so much stock in the bible we will be better off
