I thought that the mighty UN gave Sudom an ultimatum and Bush backed it up...

there are many different ways to look at this just depends on who you are...

I cant wait till Bush writes his book should be interesting to read...

Actually the intel that was presented to the president stated their were many at cia that believed no wmd existed in iraq. Yet, through cheney's threats and political pressure the intel was changed to state the possibility although not verified existed that iraq had wmd.

Bush won't take responsibility for his flaws. Contrary to popular belief Bush had decided to go to war long before he was elected.

That question appears to be the basis of the White House defense, having now admitted a falsehood in President Bush's claim, in his State of the Union address, that Iraq had tried to buy uranium in Africa. But that defense is under mounting pressure from a variety of sources claiming that the White House could not have been unaware that the claim was false, because it had been checked out 鈥?and debunked 鈥?by U.S. intelligence a year before the President repeated it.

So, the White House is not contesting the fact that the President made a false claim 鈥?merely whether he, or those who prepared his speech, knew at the time that it was false. And holding the line forces White House press secretary Ari Fleischer into a rhetorical dance that can only be called Clintonesque: conceding on the one hand that the claim made by the President was based on forged evidence that Iraq had tried to buy ';yellow cake'; refined uranium from Niger, but at the same time maintaining that ';I see nothing that goes broader that would indicate that there was no basis to the President's broader statement.';
He was on Larry King last night %26amp; said we had no way of knowing that the events on 9/11 would happen, yet they had warnings left %26amp; right, seems to me, he's just looking for a scapegoat rather than admitting his decisions were the wrong decisions. He's a very proud man, it's sad to say the least.
No, because they are part and parcel of the same conspiracy.But then maybe Bush was reading story books to little kids and Cheney took over.
Yes, and Clinton hired Bush's CIA director. Great job, Willie.
Do you believe Bush went there himself to check it out ? Like Obama he has to depend on these agencies for info!
