Why in Israeli schools history books has many false stories?

Do you think the old Zionists misunderstood the meaning of the phrase (writing history) do they thought they can write it like a novel of their choice? Why in Israeli schools history books has many false stories?
They have many false story coz they build their country on false bases %26amp; sure they don't want anyone knows the truth. Why in Israeli schools history books has many false stories?
I don't know about Israel in particular but everybody knows school history books are the greatest jokes ever. More than half of history is falsified. That's how it is in most counrties in the world.
Interesting - you are saying Israeli school books are wrong to all I can guess is do the the fact anyone who has followed the conflict in the Middle East knows that Palestinian textbooks have glaring out right lies. Sadly I cannot totally dispel what you are saying because there are inacuracies in all western textbooks due to how books are editied (that is just a reality of the beast and I am sure you can point to something not said). However, Israeli textbooks do not re-write history has the Palestinian textbooks do. The just leave out some part of the story but try to give the whole story (they aren't intended to give a false message where as Palestinian textbooks due). I am sure some propagandaist has tought you to take this tact.

It is quite possible that it is you who have been misled about events and never question their source so you believe there are more errors than there is. I and the rest of the world is well aware that as Palestinian leadership (for instance) was telling the world that the Palestinian people were unhappy at the 9/11 terrorist attacks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6JQ1RY_0鈥?/a> Everyone knows the Arab story is always spin - to try to turn the dialogue the other way is really sad.

Good Luck!!!
Same problem in America, they constantly rewrite public school history books to accommodate the loudest of the political voices. Our history books have very little to say about the Native American Indians.

Let me quote a German philosopher, named Immanuel Kant, so maybe you can put this in perspective:

';Time, history, and religion are of human construct and when the mind that conceived those concepts is no longer formulating them, these three things don't matter.';
I don't think it's a religious issue as much as political. Every country tends to embellish and twist facts in order to put a positive spin on what really happened, to the point of flat out lying. I have learned much from travel and college to dispute many of the things I learned in governmental history books growing up. Seek truth and you will find it, but don't rely on anyone affiliated politically to give it to you straight.
False stories like there were no native people living in Palestine and there is no country called Palestine.
I suspect you don't actually know any Israeli textbooks. Usually when people make a pretty serious allegation like fraud they back it up with some evidence. You seem to have a habit of accusing Israel and Israelis of pretty serious things without a shred of support.

Anyway, Israel's textbooks are based on Western textbooks, so any innacuracies are par for the Western course. Perhaps the history YOU know is the one that is innacurate. If you were educated in th Arab world, you shouldn't trust your history especially with regards Israel and the Jews. The holocaust for example is considered ';false history'; there, and the Arab regimes are notorious for lying to their citizens until the last minute (for example in 1967 the Egyptians believed they were crushing the Israelis because that's what they were told. Then they found out that it was the other way around).
Very insightful analysis ! I think you could be right !

What's that first rule of propaganda...if you tell a lie often enough people will start to believe it as truth !
I haven't read israeli history books, but in my country Ecuador I learned about an independence wars heroe, he carried the flag and received a bullet in the arm, then he took the flag with the other hand, another bullet in this hand and he got the flag with teeth, then he lost one leg and later the rest.

What happened really, the heroe was badly wounded by an explotion and unfortunately died a week later. So, what is the matter, who cares what you learn as a child, you will read the truth when you grow
And your countries history school books did not have false stories? All countries do it, hell even in college it happens. You just have to question everything you learn until you can fully research it all later
You sound like you've been brainwashed. What history books do you read? Do they contain maps that don't show Israel? You are the deceived ones.
This is an amazing question considering the lies and geographical errors made in Arab textbooks throughout the Arab world.

And the hatred of Jews that the Arab children imbibe with their mothers' milk.

I don't know where you get your information from, but it is not true.

.
First you need to give an example of a false story that is present in an Israeli textbook.
Of course.if the Mohammadans never lied . . . or Mickey Mouse would still be alive on Palestinian television ! :-)

Check out www.memri.org if you want to see Mohammadan ';truths';.
Why because they don't tell about how the zionists killed mickey mouse?

Obviously the palestinians should be trusted to write history books, they'd never resort to using propaganda to brainwash children, right?
Like in any country, Israel wants to shape the minds of its young in its own favor. One would hardly expect the Israelis to write history books that upheld the Arab cause! Just as one could hardly expect American history books to say we made a mistake when we got rid of the king (however true that may be).
